This is a long shot, but I used to data-enter assembly code digits from this magazine or a similar one to play on the C-64. Are any of those games still available to be played on an emulator of some kind? Especially, there was one that was similar to Omega Race, but with vivid colors and better play action.

Hi James;
I suspect you would be able enter assembler into an emulator but it would take a very long time and not be very much fun to see it scrapped when you closed the emulator. You would most likely want to save the program in chunks, like we all used to do, but it would be tedious.
For a better response, you may want to ask the same question in our 8 bit forum: https://www.commodore.ca/forum/viewforum.php?f=10

Thank you for this archive. It is amazing! Flipping through some of them, I am filled with so much nostalgia, I can barely take it!

This brings back memories when I was a kid I would type out all the free games from the back of the Magazine. Learned how to code that way.

Hey Larry – for me too… those were good days 🙂 thanks for reading and sharing

I would do that too! And then I’d have to save the program to cassette tape. I spent all summer being a caddy to save up for a huge floppy disk (5 1/4″) drive for my C64 that weighed like 10lbs and it was AMAZING!

Another link typo. October 1983, clicking the image of the magazine cover takes you to part 2. Thanks for sharing this great archive!

Reporting a link typo. For the December 1982 issue, the link assigned to the cover thumbnail links to file Compute-033-01.pdf, which is the February 1983 issue. I have to manually change the URL to Compute-031-01.pdf in order to make it load the first section of December 1982.
