I remember the D9060 very well. In March 1986 I was carrying one of these between two buildings when I slipped on some ice. I fell with the narrow side of the box against my chest and the other narrow side held by my left hand. I hit the ground hand first and cut open two fingers on the edge of the 18 gage steel case of the drive. The end edge of the drive that was against my chest slid across my chest and up to my armpit, shredding my shirt and leaving a 15″ long gash that remains to this day. I’m probably (hopefully) the only person with a major scar from a Commodore hard drive.

The amazing thing is that the drive only had a small paint chip on one corner and never actually had any performance issue once we plugged it in at the site I was delivering it to.
