I have asked my contacts at C= for clarification, but this seems pretty clear.

Published: 26 September 2007 | 08:00h

26th September 2007, Baarn, The Netherlands – Commodore International Corporation (CIC) (OTC: CRDL.PK) today confirmed Tulip Computers’ intention to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of CIC. Tulip Computers is traded on the Euronext Amsterdam stock market. The offer is based on a price of approx. US$ 1.- per share outstanding.

The share price offered by Tulip Computers is an indication, based on the synergies between Tulip and Commodore’ complementary market propositions, and on their respective market positions and strategy.

CIC will allow Tulip Computers to inspect its books, and is continuing the discussion on a non-exclusive basis.

CIC is positively considering the offer and will present it to its shareholders during its Annual shareholders Meeting scheduled for the end of October 2007.

According to Ben van Wijhe, CEO & President, “this offer serves well the strategic interests of both CIC and Tulip Computers through integration of the two businesses, while at the same time safeguarding the continuation of CIC’s independent pursuit of its strategic goalsâ€￾. According to Ben van Wijhe, “the offer is also taking into consideration the IPO route already stipulated by CIC for the coming months.â€￾

I have had a few communications with C= staff but nothing more than what is in the press release is public at this time. I am expecting some information to be released within the next week and will update the forum when it does arrive.

Enlgish Translation below:
Tulip Computers NV (Tulip) waives bid for Commodore International Corporation (CIC). Tulip has on 26 September Announced a bid for all the shares CIC for consideration. Tulip browsing or other forms of co-operation.

The reason that the bid is not carried through that Tulip is a lack of certainty about the possibility for the further development of the Commodore business in the short term, enough to attract outside capital.
