It looks like the guy relisted the
CBM 8296 at a lower price ($2000 USD) and still, no takers. It wonder how low he's going to go before someone bites. It would be quite amusing if he sold it at a loss. <fingers crossed> (I know that's mean. I don't like speculators who drive prices up.)

Still didn't get it. But it's been re-listed again at the same price. Could be interesting to track. I just recently found out sellers can see how many people have the item on their watch list. I've been watching the item myself. He probably sees interest so he keeps relisting...

That's why I just bookmark the auction and check in periodically. We discussed that auction at the TPUG meeting last night and the consensus was that he's going to have to drop his price by at least $500 to generate interest and perhaps twice that to sell it.

Well, the
auction is over and the speculator got their $1750 U.S. dollars. <sigh>

Bump.
The speculator who bought the PET for $1749.99 just resold the PET on eBay for $122.50. See
here. Interesting, eh?

Yes, very interesting. I contacted the seller about his shipping price, which I thought was highly inflated, and in fact, ended up being higher than the selling price of the computer....
