I'm hoping that you can help me. I downloaded the PET games from your site onto my computer (Compaq Presario) and UNZIPed them, but I haven't a clue as what to do next to get them transfered onto a PET or view the code. Any help you could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi Mark;

It is REALLY easy to use an Commodore emulator on a Windows PC to play games or even run GEOS or CP/M (which can be downloard from our site):

1: download the VICE emulator from our site http://www.commodore.ca/download/commod ... E-1.14.zip
2: unzip it
3: double click on XPET.EXE
4a: either drag the whole .D64 file onto the XPET window (which will load the first program on the 'disk') or
4b: click FILE, ATTACH, DISK 8, select your D64 file and the file you want to load

Sometimes I have to tweak the XPET settings as follows:
1: OPTIONS, DOUBLE SCAN (on or off depending on what I feel like)
2: SETTINGS, PET SETTINGS, 90% of the time I select 4032 button

I hope this helps!

You could also migrate them to a Commodore computer using an 'x1541' cable:

Perhaps it would be better to direct people to the VICE website where the current version of VICE is 1.20 (or update the version you're redistributing through your website). Version 1.14 is terribly out of date.

Hi Golan;

I have had no issues with 1.2 so I have not updated the build on our site.

I'm confused. Did you mean you had no issues with v1.14? Take a look at the VICE News file to see a list of the additions/bug fixes. The list is staggering. At this point, there's no reason for anyone to be running v1.14. Worse yet, if they do encounter bugs they'll drive everyone crazy complaining about things that have already been fixed. :(

Yes, I meant 1.14 but based on your comments I have updated our version to 1.2.
