The Commodore Vegas Expo v9 is set for July 27-28, 2013 at the Plaza Hotel & Casino, Ballroom 8, third floor, 18 Main St., Las Vegas, Nevada, USA. The contract has been signed, and the deposit has been made. Though the rental price on the room has gone up 29%, the increase was not unexpected, and we should have enough funds to cover the cost.
Mark your long-range calendars! CommVEx is returning with too much Commodore and Amiga next year!
Sincerely,
Robert Bernardo

Do you mean an item for the raffle or a monetary donation for the show?
Great to have you back, Jim,

That is very kind of you, Jim! I don't know what to ask; I'll let you decide.

Our conference room rate did go up 29%.

I will be visiting Las Vegas in late March. At that time, I can check in with hotel catering to see how things are going.

The last payment for the room was sent today (after much calling to catering, then to sales, and then to catering for verification on the final amount due).

I'm only getting an answering machine when I call catering, and so, my contact now seems to be Melissa in sales.

Due to other obligations, I was not able to visit Las Vegas in late March. Now I plan to visit in mid-June and see how things are going at the hotel and with the Clark County Commodore Computer Club.

The best laid plans... Due to other family obligations the week after school lets out on June 10, I won't be able to go to Las Vegas. On June 17, I then leave for the Pacific Northwest to visit members of the Portland Commodore User Group and Ray Carlsen.

I'm still on schedule to leave at 10 a.m. from California and drive 10 hours to get to Portland.
In another matter, I can't say enough about those who help to make CommVEx run smoothly. I wouldn't be able to do it alone. I'm thankful that I have the help of members of the Fresno Commodore User Group, the Clark County Commodore Computer Club (of Las Vegas), the Southern California Commodore & Amiga Network, the Portland Commodore User Group, and even The Other Group of Amigoids (of San Jose). Without them and without the other CommVEx attendees, the show wouldn't have been successful for all these years.
Sincerely,
