Commodore President Typewriter

Is this an early Commodore typewriter? I have a portable typewriter branded "President". I have reason to think this may be one of the Czech typewriters Commodore built under license in the late Fifties, in Toronto (which is where I live). Any information, links, or clues would be appreciated.

Oh, those photos are very nice. That typewriter's construction reminds me of the construction of my Commodore adding machine.
