magic voice

hey everyone, my name's spencer and Ive finally found this place! My dad has a bunch of old commodore stuff, 2 64s and vic 20, plus a few disk drives, a monitor, printers, and some datasette decks. Anyway, Ive assembled our one working 64 and I came across a Magic Voice unit we have. I got all the manuals for everything, including the Magic Voice. I set it up properly, but the computer fails to boot when the unit is pluged in. I don't know what to, I really want to test this thing out. Not only that, but i tried to check for fuses or anything inside the magic voice itself, but it doesnt want to open, and Im afraid Ill brake something if I force it. If anyone knows anything about the Commodore Magic Voice, or anyway to repair, email me at [email protected] . i would appreciate any and all advice on the matter! Thanks
