Commodore 1526 printer questions

I just got a commodore 1526 printer from ebay a few weeks ago. It is in perfect working condition except for the fact that the printer ribbon is dry. Besides that, the ribbon is in fine condition with very little wear. Is it possible to 'refill' or 'recharge' the cartridge with ink? If not, is there somewhere where I can buy a new cartridge? It'd be a shame to not use the printer just because of a dried out ribbon. Thanks a lot!

Several sites sell replacement ribbons. Upon quick review, I think http://www.oldsoftware.com/printers.html sells them.
