C128 Power supply on C64 question

So, I got a C128 power supply to use on my C64, and I'm a bit curious about one thing.. The two 9VAC lines. Is there any polarity here at all, or just either AC line to either AC pin will work?
(I assumed the latter, both 9VAC wires in the C64 cord are black...but when I plug the thing into a C64, the fuse blows.)

It should not make any difference in what order you connect the AC lines.
If a fuse blows it's more likely you wired it wrong.
I have a C128 psu connected on my C64 for years now.
I opened up the connector to let you see the order in which I connected the wires.

Good to hear you got it working. The C128 power supply is really the best choice to use with a C64. It's too bad that Commodore didn't make them that way, except bundled with the 1764 REU.

The aftermarket Phoenix power supplies were even better.

I haven't had the opportunity to use one of those... Got any spares?
The only aftermarket C64 power supply I ever used was a Recoton brand power supply. It was better than the standard C64 "brick", but the C128 power supply provides more "juice".

I believe there is one Phoenix C64 p.s. and one Phoenix C128 p.s. in storage.
