Seeking RCA to HDMI converter recommendations

Post by JoeGUSA »

I deleted my last post about the ONN RCA to HDMI converter since the unit was faulty. I'll return it to Walmart on Monday.

Therefore, I am now seeking recommendations on what RCA to HDMI converter works good, or best, with the C-64 (and VIC-20 is possible). I see numerous offerings on Amazon, but they all look the same. I thought getting and using such a converter was going to be easy.

Any experienced recommendations would be appreciated.

Thank you!

There used to be a $35 to $40 composite-to-HDMI converter on eBay, and it also had s-video in. I bought one and even Ray Carlsen bought one. I no longer see that particular one on eBay. However, there is this one...

With a composite RCA-to-s-video adapter, you could plug into the s-video input of the converter and get an even better HDMI output.

One thing... I don't know if the above converter will keep the 4:3 aspect of the Commodore or stretch it to 16:9. Hopefully, your HDMI display can be forced into 4:3.

Truly,
