C128D +5volt pin (compo\audio socket)

Hi!

pictire of a DIN8 (262) socket
pin 8 of DIN8 is a +5v
+5v - is IN or OUT? and for what is this pin? (is it for screen blank or window signal in TV?) do i may need him dometimes?

Hi,

That's an output. It was used mainly for signalling purposes: old CRT TV sets equipped with this 8 pin type input connector were automatically changed the source signal feed from tuner to the video input upon receiving 5 to 12V voltage from pin8.
