I am a owner of a cbm 128 when I did use this long time ago i did use it with a TV! but now I have got it out and amazingly it still works after 29 years. But how do I connect it to a vga monitor so I can
have 80 col display. ?

is there any convert I can buy. ?

Hi,

Theoretically the 9pin RGBI output of the C128 can be rewired to a 15 pin SVGA connector without using a converter,
but the "low" 15.525kHz line frequency won't be tolerated by some monitors, resulting an "Out of range" or similar message.
Anyway here's the diagram:

As far as I know the old CGA monitors were used the same DB9 pin configuration,
so a CGA to SVGA converter could be suitable for the job as well.

Currently, Alex sells Video DAC's (RGB digital to VGA) that will show all 16 colors of the C128's 80-column color palette. See
