New Book About the C= 64

Post by gklinger »

There's a new book coming out this summer called The C64 Book - 1982-199x and it looks to be a good one. It's from the same publisher as The ZX Spectrum Book and the book is quite similar. You can find sample pages here and here. The publisher is taking pre-orders for this limited-run book and in the event that they don't receive enough pre-orders to cover the cost of printing, they'll refund your money and send you an electronic copy of the book. The C64 Book costs £17.99 and shipping and handling is £7.50 which works out to approximately $50 U.S. dollars or $60 Canadian dollars. Also, they'll ship two copies for £7.50 so you might as well buy one for yourself and one to give as a gift. :)

Book

I'm very excited about this new book based on the Commodore 64. I must admit, I was stopped dead in my tracks by the $50.00 pre-pay price. That's a lot of money without knowing what the author intends to include in the book. Will this be another great history of Commodore like "Home Computer Wars" and "On the Edge", or is this simply a chronicle of Commodore 64 software (that's the impression I got). Anyway, I would definitely like to know more. I can't get enough of Commodore!
