What computer systems did Commodore use?

Post by jbx811 »

I've always wondered what type of computer systems Commodore used for its data processing department. I speculate that they may have used an IBM mainframe early on in combination with their own computers and later on, they may have developed systems using networks of Amigas. I'm also curious of what computer systems they used for design, industrial control, and whatever else. I wonder how much they used their own products in any of their operations. Does anyone have any information? thanks :)

Once I worked for IBM, a long time ago. They had their own operating system, 0S/2 Warp.

Funny though, there were 2 workstations that had it running, but all desktops used Windows. Nobody used OS/2

If you watch CBM engineer Dave Haynie's video (the Deathbed Vigil video) of the final days of C=, there is a look around the offices and you can see the computers in use there.
