Anyone interested in making $20.00?

Post by Personable85 »

I will pay $20.00 to anyone who will copy about 20 PET games onto a cassette tape for me. All the games are accessible via this site and public domain. I simply don't have the hardware to do the transfers myself nor do I have the time or patients to type the games in by hand. I'll pay an additional $2.00 for cassettes (Kmart sells two 60 min cassettes for $1.99) and $3.00 toward postage for a total of $25.00. If you are interested, please email me. I need the games ASAP. Thanks!

I read an article that said you can do the same thing with your computer and a CD writer.

You do something like download the programs and write them to CD as audio files, then you can load them to your Commodore from a portable CD player instead of a cassette tape player, as the cable will work with either.

Cool Gambit!

This is a fascinating idea that I'd never considered! I wouldn't have thought it'd work. I'm imagining a 1337 upgrade - i have visions of installing an old standard computer CD rom right into the PET case (there's room and mounts for it)... Off the top of my head I see only the sense line to deal with.

If i ever get my mobo conversion to work I'll work it out and show me plans. :)
