This year we're going to try to have Net access at CommVEx. We'll have a slow modem connection in the Plaza Hotel; thanks to Larry Anderson for paying for it. The hotel wanted 4 times more for a DSL connection and its installation! Larry has said that he will also bring a phone line router for that slow connection.
I'll ask Earl Williams to bring his webcam, and we'll be on the #c64friends chat Saturday and Sunday.

Internet access
Yep we'll have a dial-up router (needed someone with a local dial-up account in the (702) 386-xxxx area, if Robert hasn't already found someone.) so we will share a 56k connection, webcam will be mightyl slow but should work.
I hope to set up my RRNet while there to demonstrate.

Just out of curiosity, how much did the hotel want to give us a DSL connection?

Re: Internet access
I probably can switch the dial-up of one of my accounts to that of Las Vegas. In other words, no problem!joecommodore wrote:...needed someone with a local dial-up account in the (702) 386-xxxx area, if Robert hasn't already found someone...

I'm still trying to figure out if I can get to my Louisville, Kentucky dial-up shell account so that I can get my Commodore on-line. It would be neat to show that at the Expo. That would be a long-distance phone call, and I'm not sure I can do it easily and/or economically from the hotel.
