CommVEx admission and raffle prizes

Post by rbernardo »

CommVEx Hours: Saturday, 11 am. to 6 pm. (longer hours if needed)
Sunday, 12 noon to 7 pm.

Admission - $10 for one or both days

We are also gathering excellent raffle prizes for the show. Here is a
partial list of the prizes: a SuperCPU 64, a SX-64, a 1581 disk drive,
rare Melodian musical keyboard and software (donated by Larry Lathrop),
and a C64 DTV modded by Jeri Ellsworth.

As the time gets nearer, as we gather our raffle prizes together, I
should tell you the nitty-gritty of the raffle. Raffle tickets are $10
each or three for $20. If you don't want to wait or can't make it to
CommVEx to participate in the raffle, you can order by mail/e-mail. Just
send your monies and specify which raffle prize you'd like your ticket to
go to. Checks/money orders payable to FCUG/64um. The snail mail address
is

FCUG
3487 E. Terrace
Fresno, CA 93709

Paypal (no credit cards via Paypal) to rbernardo(at)iglou.com Make sure
to say that monies are to be applied to CommVEx raffle tickets.

Exhibit tables are free...just pay the $10 admission. Vending tables are free... just pay the $10 admission and give one item for the raffle.

Just received a Paypal order for a bunch of raffle tickets the other day. If you wish to participate in the CommVEx raffle and you're going to mail a check or money order, we'll have to receive it by July 27. After that time, our treasurer will be in Vegas, attending the show, and no one will be around to check on the postal mail.

I'm pleased that e-mail-order raffle ticket purchases are coming in. Keep them coming. All monies will be used to pay down that expensive Plaza Hotel meeting room for CommVEx.

Yow! Last-minute Paypal purchases of raffle prizes! I will check my e-mail one more time tonight. I'll have to make the cut-off time for Paypal at 11 p.m. Pacific Time tonight (Friday).

The SX-64 got raffled off on Saturday. Tomorrow the SCPU 64 and Melodian. We've decided to give the 1581 as a door prize. The C64 DTV has been changed to that of a Hummer DTV modded by Jeri (she still does not have it ready but will mail it to the winner).

The Melodian was raffled off to Nemer, the Hummer DTV was won by... well, I can't remember right now... hopefully, Dick Estel or Jeri Ellsworth will remind me... and the SuperCPU 64 was won by... (drum roll) ... Bruce Thomas of Edmonton, Alberta, Canada!
