New/Semi-new Releases for CommVEx v7

Post by rbernardo »

Some new news for CommVEx. Last year we had the hardware release of the Comet64 Internet Modem and distributed MossyCon 5 CDs at the show. This year we have another hardware release for the C64 (and we're trying to get it to work the C128, too, in C128, 40-column mode). Also with permission from the author, we will have a release of a long-lost, rare, commercial game. Stay tuned for more info as CommVEx nears!

Another release to be possibly announced at CommVEx v7 - something to do with the Commodore and the Internet. How mysterious! ;)

Super Pogo Stick: Special Edition to be released

Thanks to the hard work of T2KFreeker, Super Pogo Stick: the Special Edition will be released at the July 23-24 CommVEx v7 2010. With the permission of original programmer, Maurice Yanney, this rare game will be distributed in its original form on disk with a limited run of 50 copies. The sales of Super Pogo Stick: the Special Edition will help fund CommVEx.

Super Pogo Stick: the Special Edition will come in a gatefold album-style case with original artwork as well as an autographed and numbered, color manual by Maurice Yanney. (Check out his website at http://www.yanware.com) There will be other special features in this release... more details to come in the future.

Again, thanks to T2KFreeker (you can get back to your wife and children after all of this!), Maurice Yanney (you are the man!), and Harriet Gittings (what a lady!) for providing the original disk package from her late husband, Dale Gittings (a C= enthusiast to the Nth degree!).

Truly,

For Commodore 128 fans, a rare C128 paint program will be distributed at CommVEx.

It looks as if FCUG Interface editor, Lenard Roach, is prepping for a release of the second edition of his book, "Run-Stop/Restore", in time for CommVEx. Needless to say, the second edition will be new and improved!

Confirmed. Lenard Roach will be bringing 20 copies of "Run-Stop/Restore" to sell at CommVEx.

The packaging has changed on SPS: SE. Because the manual will be in a comic book style and format, the package will now consist of a comic book bag, acid-free comic backing board, and the 5 1/4" floppy disk with sleeve.
