Filming for CommVEx v7 2011

Post by rbernardo »

During the SCCAN meeting of a few weekends ago, Tim W. mentioned that he would be willing to run a PC computer set-up with 3 videocamera inputs. In other words, it would be possible to have 3 videocameras filming the presentations and intercut between each camera, one camera for close-up, one for medium shot, and one for long shot. The problems would be stringing all the a/v cables from cameras to the computer, the use of standard-def cameras (not enough high-def cameras available), and having enough camerapersons running each camera (which could be alleviated by locking down the medium shot and long shot cameras in one position, leaving only the close-up camera with a person who could zoom/pan/tilt it).

I'm not thoroughly convinced that all this added complexity is worth it.

Still thinking,

Hey, I can volunteer to operate a camera. That might give me extra motivation to drive out again this year. :D

Producer Zach Weddington of the Viva Amiga film will be hanging around in order to film interviews for his movie.
