CommVEx v6 2010 accomodations

Post by rbernardo »

You know the drill... :) CommVEx v6 will be again at the classic Plaza Hotel & Casino, 1 S. Main Street, in fabulous downtown Las Vegas. The Plaza offers reasonably priced, nice, comfortable rooms. http://www.plazahotelcasino.com

For 2010 you only have until June 23 to reserve a room at the Plaza Hotel. Mention the CommVEx name when reserving your room so that you can get the special rates. Here are the rates.

A block of 10 rooms have been set aside for CommVEx. The rates are $49 per night Friday and Saturday for a single/double, and $29 for Sunday night for a single/double (all prices not including room tax). Each additional person above a double room is an extra $15, maximum of 4 persons to a room.

Hotel occupancy tax is 13%. Check-in time is 3 p.m.; check-out time is 11 a.m.. Reservations are to be confirmed through individual call-in prior to *June 24, 2010*, by calling the Central Reservations Department at 1 800 634-6575 option 1 and saying that you are reserving under the group name, CommVEx. After June 23, any rooms remaining unsold will be released back to the hotel, and the group rate may not be available. Note: Saturday arrivals are not accepted unless approved by the Director of Sales or Central Reservations Manager. (If you think you'll be arriving on Saturday, tell me, and I'll try to work out something with the Plaza.)

There will be a $50 refundable deposit required should you wish to bill phone calls, food, etc., to your rooms. This deposit will be used toward any unpaid incidental charges.

The Plaza has a 24-hour gambling casino, several restaurants including McDonalds and Subway, a showroom, tennis courts, a pool, and free parking ($5 entry fee refundable at the cashiers' office). The Plaza Hotel lies at the foot of the glittery Fremont Street Experience. The Las Vegas Strip with its out-of-this world hotel casinos is a few miles to the south.
