The California Hotel & Casino, does not list room rates for July, 2017, at this moment (their website at http://www.thecal.com goes as far as March, 2017), Trivago.com does list hotels (our area of the Fremont Street Experience) for that month. In a search for a hotel for check-in on Friday, July 28, and check-out on Sunday, July 30, the California Hotel is at $114 total ($51 x 2 nights + 12% tax).

Across the street is the Main Street Station Hotel & Casino; in the same search at Trivago, it comes out at $112 total ($50 x 2 nights + 12% tax). The nearby Fremont Hotel is at $109 total ($49 x 2 nights + 12% tax).

For all of the above hotels, there didn't seem to be any resort fee added onto their prices.

I have now booked my accomodations at the California Hotel through a search at http://www.trivago.com Trivago turned up a price at Expedia.com of $42.30 average a night, not including tax. I'll be arriving on Thursday, July 27, and will be departing on Monday, July 31.

I'm tossing around the idea of coming to CommVEx, not sure yet - would be travelling all the way from Massachusetts.

Are you still staying at the California Hotel now that the event has been moved to The Plaza Hotel?

I see no availability at California. Plaza seems to be the best deal I can see in reasonable proximity at $132/night.

Any other hotels I should look at>?

If you were to come, you would be the person coming the farthest to our show (unless one of our Canadian or Italian friends comes to visit)!

I myself am still booked at the California Hotel (which is just a couple of blocks from our Plaza Hotel venue). I booked way back in December when prices were cheap.

Any other hotels I should look at?
