That's a nice find! Too bad it's not in working condition, but I'm sure that with some troubleshooting, it could be repaired. Whoever gets this is going to have a neat "toy" to play with. :)

For the monitor-works-but-no-screen situation on that Educator 64, it might be the PLA or even the internal power supply. The broken keys are easily replaced. Ray Carlsen would be able to fix it easily.

Does FCUG have an Educator 64? Could be a nice addition to the FCUG collection, not to mention something cool to show off at CommVEx. ;)

I mis-spoke; that is not a full report. The full report was published in the FCUG Interface newsletter and in the Commodore Mailink newsletter (which comes from Meeting C64/128 Users Through the Mail). The entire story encompasses my adventure up to Canada in order to pick it up.
