Get those demo entries in for Blockparty 2010

Post by rbernardo »

Join the 300+ attendees who will be coming to Blockparty 2010, April 15-18, at the Wyndham Cleveland Hotel in Cleveland, Ohio, U.S.A.. And get those demo entries in! As the biggest demo party in North America, Blockparty is looking for demos ranging from the most modern to oldschool. For the Commodore and Amiga enthusiasts, your entries can be in the oldschool, wildcard, or music compos. In fact, the music group named Project Ruori will be having a perfomance which includes C64 SID music. Play with the other happy people in the Video and Board Gameroom. Open 24 hours a day, the gameroom will have everything from the most modern consoles to Commodore and/or Amiga. Listen to the various presentations from those at Notacon 7, the event which goes on at the same time as Blockparty.

For more information, go to the Blockparty 2010 website at

http://www.demoparty.us

or to the Notacon website at

http://www.notacon.org

Yes, FCUG will have a table there,

Join Jim M., Eric K, and myself at the Commodore/Amiga gaming table in the games room. We plan to have two C64 systems (one of them running Shredz64 and the Guitar Hero guitar, and the other with plenty of C64 games), a VIC-20 system (with the Rittenhouse Multicart/Development Cart, Galactic Warriors, Denial Collection 3, and more), and an Amiga 500 (with lots of games). If there isn't enough room in the gaming room for us, we'll spill into the Notacon
Radio room.

Speaking of radio, we'll have a roundtable discussion of Commodore and Amiga on the Notacon Radio channel - planned time of the talk to be on Saturday afternoon.

Speaking of radio again, we plan to have another VIC-20 system in the N7C Notacon Ham Radio room; that VIC-20 will be running the Kantronics Hamtext cart.

Next weekend,
