This is about the Commodore 64? help me please!

A company that goes by the name of retro games, have released a c64 mini, how is this legal? surely its against the law to create the same thing, call it the same thing and sell it?
Anyone?

Maybe they might have gained copyrights for the same or might have had a deal signed on it.

The act of emulating a system is perfectly legal, which means building a handheld device or writing software that emulates a console is legal. Downloading ROMs you do not own, however, is certainly illegal.
