Commodore 1351 mouse on a PC

Post by donnyd »

Hello,

I recently acquired a 1351 mouse and was curious to know if one could use it on a PC, I have attempted to connect and configure the device on multiple machines and operating systems utilizing a serial to USB adapter with no success.

Any insight would be appreciated.

Thank you.

I don't think it's possible to use a 1351 mouse on a PC. The 1351 was designed specifically to connect to the joystick port on a Commodore 64 or 128. I guess the only way to use it on a PC would be to create some kind of adapter so the PC can understand the 1351's "language". I suppose the cost of creating such an adapter would be prohibitive with the price of mice made for PCs being so cheap these days.
