There is the Amigahellas group at

http://www.amigahellas.gr

Mainly, they are into Amiga computers, but they also have an interest in Commodore 8-bit computers, too.

Next SCCAN meeting - Sunday, April 25

Post by rbernardo »

Hi, everybody,

We have another SCCAN meeting on Sunday, April 25, from 2 p.m. to 4+ p.m.. For directions to the meeting location, just send me an e-mail.

Due to popular demand, the VIC-20 will return as will the Shredz64/PSX64 adapter/Guitar Hero guitar for the Commodore 64. And I'll also bring my GVP 530 hard drive, if Joe brings in his A500 system. I'll also, also bring the Tandy 100 and NEC PC-8201A laptops (hey, those aren't Commodore).

Don't forget to bring your stuff to show off/demonstrate, too. See you at the meeting!

Portland C= Users Group meeting - this Thursday

Post by rbernardo »

---------------- Original Message ----------------------------
Subject: PDXCUG Reminder - Portland Commodore Users Group Meeting
From: "PDXCUG.org" <pdxcug(at)pdxcug.org>
Date: Tue, July 6, 2010 10:44 am
---------------------------------------------------------------

Hi everyone,

Just a reminder that our next Commodore Users Group meeting will be this upcoming Thursday.

Thursday, July 8, 2010
7:00 p.m.
Sunset Lanes in Beaverton (just off Hwy 26)

We'll have:
- A Vic-20
- 2 Amigas
- The usual Commodore 64's
- An MSD Dual Disk Drive (so bring any disks that you want to copy - 19 seconds per copy, verified!)

We'll also be "desoldering" a chip from an Amiga - any soldering experts please bring your desoldering tools. I will have some, but if you have a good trick for removing a large number of pins, please come prepared to help. :)

Are the parts ordered for the joystick switch? If so, we can start prototyping for that, too!

Bring your "Show and Tell". Also, we'd love to see any presentations that you might have! I will be demonstrating the Comet64 Internet Modem and the power of CommodoreServer.com.

If you have any questions, please let me know. Hope to see you there.

Greg

Next SCCAN meeting - Saturday, August 28

Post by rbernardo »

Happy end of summer!

We have another SCCAN meeting on Saturday, August 28, from 2 p.m. to 4+ p.m.. Note the Saturday meeting time in order to accomodate members' schedules. For details on the meeting location, send me an e-mail.

I'm bringing the Amiga CDTV that I got from Tim Waite at last month's CommVEx. Also we'll look at the brand new upgrade for the venerable Lt. Kernal hard drive -- the Rear Admiral DOS and chips. Don't forget to bring your stuff to show off/demonstrate. See you at the meeting!
