Re: A video tribute to Jim Butterfield

At CommVEx on Sunday, I showed Jim Butterfield from the LUCKI Spring Expo 2005. The DVD-R was not in good condition... skipping of the video and sometimes the sound. I'll have to find the original Digital 8 tape and burn a new master DVD-R. At the Vintage Computer Festival 10.0 on Nov. 4, I showed ...

Re: Jack Tramiel at Computer History Museum - Dec. 10 !!!

Met with Dale Luck, Amiga software engineer, yesterday at the Vintage Computer Festival 10.0. After congratulating him and teasing him a bit on his recent marriage, I mentioned that Jack Tramiel would be speaking at the Computer History Museum on Dec. 10. Surprised, he remarked that he didn't know a...

Re: Vintage Computer Festival 10.0 - Nov. 3-4

There is also a planned Commodore 64 "Supercomputer" project. Sellam Ismail, organizer of the Vintage Computer Festival, has postponed the Commodore 64 Supercomputer project. Here is part of his message: I regret to inform you that the guy who was doing the major hardware and software wor...

Re: Jack Tramiel at Computer History Museum - Dec. 10 !!!

Today I was able to make phone contact with Karen Tucker of the Computer History Museum and question her on the details for the event, "The Impact of the Commodore 64: A 25-Year Celebration". Here are the specifics: Location: Computer History Museum, 1401 N. Shoreline Blvd, (exit from the ...

Re: Jack Tramiel

I never thought I'd live to see the day that Jack Tramiel would make a public appearance on behalf of his old company and the Commodore 64. This is truly an historic occasion and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! Yes, it is very historic. Could someone please video tape the event for posterity? I'd...

CommVEx v3 video

I'm still editing together the video of this year's CommVEx v3. It appears as if it will just come out over the 2-hour mark. Looks as if I'll have to put in a few insert shots, then put in the chapter markers and titles, add some possible incidental music, and then finally render and burn to DVD. Af...

Re: CommVEx v4, July 26-27, 2008

Though our club treasurer, Dick Estel, really wants to go to CommVEx v4, he has a massive coast-to-coast RV trip planned for next summer and will only arrive back on the West Coast a few days before CommVEx. That's cutting it close! I'm hoping he has the energy for a little more travel to Las Vegas...
