If I make to a TOGA meeting in August or September, I will ask him again. Went to The Other Group of Amigoids meeting yesterday. Mitch had extreme trouble in deciphering the characters in the ad; the resolution of the scan was not good enough. He was able to make out a few words; under their respec...

CommVEx thoughts (fwd)

CommVEx Thoughts By Lenard R. Roach, editor of the Interface We just got back from sunny Las Vegas after attending the Fresno Commodore User Group and Clark County Commodore Computer Club's CommVEx v3. I must tell you that those who did not attend missed a great time of Commodore fun and information...

Re: Peddle/Herd/Haynie/Russell video for CommVEx v3

Dave is not responding to my e-mails, because the server that he uses (Bil Herd's server) is down. Also at this time, he may be camping in Arizona/New Mexico far away from civilization. Contact made with Dave Haynie! I had to use an alternate e-mail address. I will snail-mail my CBM engineer videos...

Re: CommVEx v3, July 28-29, 2007

Too bad we can't spend anymore for CommVEx! At this month's FCUG meeting, I gave our treasurer the final numbers on CommVEx v3. To my way of reckoning, we broke even on the show. However, unlike last year's CommVEx in which we had a carry-over of monies to devote to this year's show, there will be ...

I wrote:...we had to leave the Olevia behind, but it is being well-taken care of by 5C's president, Al Jackson. When I'm back in Las Vegas in 2 weekends, I'll pick it up from Al and bring it back to California.
The Olevia is now safe and sound with Larry who picked it up from me on the 18th.

Yes, that's the only problem about living in Kuntucky, (I plan to get out ASAP) the closest user's club is 3 hours away! :x I go to The Other Group of Amigoids (TOGA) meeting, and that is 3 1/2 hours away. A long drive to that Amiga club. :-) I also made the 3-hour drive to attend CommVEx in Las Ve...

Fall Chicago Commodore Expo (ECCC) - Sept. 29, 2007

From: Jason Compton As the calendar marches onward, it becomes more and more apparent... The date for the Chicago area's autumnal Commodore ritual is fast approaching! I'd better remember to show up, as I'm obligated to pay for the space! http://starbase.globalpc.net/eccc/ for more information, but ...

Yes, that's right! Contracts signed, deposit made, accomodations reserved. The Commodore Vegas Expo is set for July 26-27 in Jockey Room 1 at the Plaza Hotel, 1 Main Street, in Las Vegas. Mark your calendars, plan you vacation time... think CommVEx v4 for next year. :-)

Re: Classic Gaming Expo the same weekend as CommVEx!

Just received an e-mail today from John Hardie, co-organizer of the Classic Gaming Expo. He wants to investigate the possibility of joining CGE and CommVEx together for 2008. No word back from John Hardie of CGE. Maybe our "requirements" were too high. ;-) Therefore, I am going ahead with...

Another thing, is there a way to rig a normal tape player to a C64 not to save data, but only to access it? Back in the day, there were ways to hook up cassette drives to the C64 via a joystick port. Of course, you'd have to have the special adapter for that. Or is there a way to convert the data o...
