I probably can switch the dial-up of one of my accounts to that of Las Vegas. In other words, no problem! :-)

How silly of me... I forgot to include the A600 in the list (probably no room in the car to bring along an A2000 Video Toaster).

Very nice, Larry. In the next day or two, I was about to phone/e-mail you about your presentation.

Re: CommVEx admission and raffle prizes

As the time gets nearer, as we gather our raffle prizes together, I should tell you the nitty-gritty of the raffle. Raffle tickets are $10 each or three for $20. I'm pleased that e-mail-order raffle ticket purchases are coming in. Keep them coming. All monies will be used to pay down that expensive...

Re: Welcome to all that is CommVEx v2 (2006)

We're going to have more varied set-up's this year for your computing pleasure -- VIC-20, Plus/4, Commodore 64/128, DTV, more Amigas... The plan is to have an A1200 Tower (OS 3.9), classic A500 (switchable OS 1.3/3.1), and a CD32 (OS 3.0). However, they may all have to share the same monitor. :-) H...

Re: Other activities other than CommVEx

For skater girl, Jeri Ellsworth, (and others who are so inclined), the Crystal Palace Hotel & Casino has a roller-skating rink. Also there is the Mt. Charleston ice-skating rink (ooo, a welcome relief... Las Vegas will be roasting!).

Dave "Lord Ronin" Mohr would love to come, but he doesn't have any transportation to Las Vegas. He is located in Astoria, Oregon. If you can help him out, send an e-mail to him at [email protected]

I'm hoping to start setting up the room, beginning at 3 or 4 p.m. on Friday. That will give us enough time to work out any problems with the hotel before the staff leaves at 5.

Net access at CommVEx

This year we're going to try to have Net access at CommVEx. We'll have a slow modem connection in the Plaza Hotel; thanks to Larry Anderson for paying for it. The hotel wanted 4 times more for a DSL connection and its installation! Larry has said that he will also bring a phone line router for that ...

Presentations/demonstrations

O.K., in the next few days, this list should firm up considerably, but here are the first confirmed presentations/demonstrations for CommVEx.

Jeri Ellsworth -- Theoretically running MPEG-2 video on the Commodore
Craig Ernster -- Disk copy-protection schemes

More to come!

My thanks to Dave "Lord Ronin" Mohr of the Amiga-Commodore User Group of Astoria, Oregon, for donating original disks of Wolfman (a text adventure) and role-playing dice (!) for CommVEx. Seems that every attendee will get these, too. :-)
