Re: New Release: Colour Space Invaders for PET (and a request for help)
I've tried to reproduce the wrong firing/bullet position using Vice, emulating a PET4032, but no luck. My idea was to set up breakpoints in the code. - Holding down the fire button a bit after hitting an alien then moving the ship into a new x position and firing again puts the bullet to the correct...

Re: C-128 RGBI to VGA or HDMI?
There would be a third option: if your display has RGB capable SCART input, then an RGBI to RGB converter can be used directly, without need of a scan/line frequency doubler. SCART directly is compatible with the ~15kHz line frequency that the C128 produces. commodore.ca discussion HDMI converters w...

Re: 128 has a blinking red light when powered on
Yes, the Amiga PSU puts out +12VDC and -12VDC where the C128 would expect 9VAC.

Re: 128 has a blinking red light when powered on
Hi,
The power LED is supplied directly from the +5V bus thru a 180 Ohm resistor in the factory setup.
Any flickering or unstable light emission of the LED indicates failure in the +5V supply.

Re: how do i use petscii to draw lines and circles, etc on the fly?
Something like this?
reaching up to 80x50 resolution, but works rather slow.
I have a Basic program which is capable to draw/erase lines or shapes using some PETSCII titles as "pixels",reaching up to 80x50 resolution, but works rather slow.

Re: How much power does it use?
Hi, general USB power supplies are adequate, meaning 7.5 to 10 Watts maximum consumption. The standby consumption should be less than 0.5W due to EU regulations.

Re: 220v Wedge Power Supply Converted to 110v?
Hi, You're right, the original power transformer won't be able to provide the required voltage outputs, when applying 110V input instead of 220V. There might be a problem when PAL C64 gets 60Hz instead of 50Hz (the PAL-M version marketed in Brasil is an exception). The CIA chip uses this as referenc...

Re: Looking for 8bit audio DAC for PET like HUH Electronics Petunia
Hi,
Judging from the CLASS 2022 videos you've made the DAC from scratch
I think this is a great addition to the capabilities of the PET 2001.

Re: Error when plugging in the power supply
Hi, From the "green line" description I'm assuming that the machine is from the PET series. In general the lack of vertical deflection and the blowing fuse suggests: - failure in the 18V supply of the CRT unit - shorted component(s) in the vertical drive circuitry of the CRT unit - not run...

Re: How can I build floppy disk from ROMs?
Hi, Do you want to write ROM or floppy images to disks? ROM (or cartridge) images are not direct equivalent of PRG files found on floppy disks. I'm using an X1541 cable and with an old Pentium III based laptop with native parallel port and Star Commander software, but I guess this is not the solutio...
