CommVEx v14 guests and presentations

Post by rbernardo »

First one to sign in... It's Matt Brewster of Southern California Commodore & Amiga Network. As in past shows, Matt will be showing something in the way of Commodore and/or Amiga hardware emulation. He's thinking of something small. :)

More details to come,

Once again, Richard Goedeken, creator of the original C128 Video DAC (RGB-to-VGA converter), appears at CommVEx. Let's see if I can convince him to talk about his adventures in Commodore and Amiga gaming and his meticulous computer repair! :)

What an engineer he is!

Roger Van Pelt will have a presentation on how to connect on-line with the C64/128 and the WiFi64 modem from SharewarePlus and the Strikelink v1.1 wi-fi modem from Kevin Casteels. He'll be using the programs, CCGMS v6 and Novaterm 9.6.

I met Daniel Kaye and Kenneth Turecott, Newtek Video Toaster engineers, and got about their experiences during the heyday of the Amiga Video Toaster! This was just filmed at the recent Maker Faire Bay Area, and you'll get to see it at CommVEx.

Wishing for an even longer interview from them,

He has locked down a presentation on a new cartridge from Poland; he calls it the "New C64 Super-Uber-Mega-Multicart."

Heh, we're starting to overflow on presentations! On video, Eric Hill has his two Amiga 1000 presentations -- the Rejuvenator Reloaded and Amiga 1000 Kickstart mods. Also on video, Don Elman, of the classic Commander magazine, speaks about his 1983-1984 tenure as editor.

Back in California,

He will be bringing in his Pi-Top laptop which has a Pi 3 running Amiga OS 3.1. He'll also have two more Pi's - one with classic Amiga and the other with C64.
