Slightly Odd VIC 20 - UK

Post by sitar »

Hello All, I live in the UK and have collected computers for some time. One of which is a silver labeled Commodore 64. A friend of mine phoned me up from the local dump and said he had just got hold of a Boxed ViC 20 for me.
On receiving it , it was slightly different from the usual Vic 20 s I have. I am away that the early models were 2 pronged power lead and the later ones had the DIN power socket , but this was different again. This one has a 2 pin power lead but is smaller than the usual 2 pin pronged connector. The other other 2 differences is are that the lable on top towards the left is black and the right label is silver. Also the power supply is a type I have never seen before and measures about 150mm X100mm X 40mm which is different again between the early model VIc20 and the later Vic 20. I have googled around but unable to see any information regarding this model. Has anyone got any ideas. The serial number is in the region 520000. Thank
sitar
